Description
Objectiver is a powerful requirements‑engineering tool built on the KAOS goal‑driven methodology, enabling analysts to model goals, agents, requirements, obstacles, and their relationships graphically. It supports systematic elicitation and specification of requirements, checks for completeness, and produces structured requirement documents. With strong traceability, it links high-level system goals to concrete requirements and behavioral specifications. Objects and models can be shared via a web interface, making it easier to communicate requirements across the organization.
The tool support the following activities:
- identifying requirements from users or from existing description of as-is systems
- structuring requirements in goal-models for as-is and to-be systems (including possible alternative designs)
- analysis requirement completeness, consistency, resilience (through obstacles)
- automated report generation of call for tenders, software requirement specifications
- specific templates and plugins e.g. goal-question-metric analysis or formal analysis
- querying the model with a subset of OQL
- exporting to XML
